Security Service Robot in Ubiquitous Environment based on Cognitive Robotic Engine
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper proposes a security service robot that is working in ubiquitous environment. The system is organized based on TCP/IP communication and Cognitive Robotic Engine (CRE) for intelligent control. CRE, that is proposed by Sukhan Lee, et al [1], provides asynchronous and concurrent processing architecture, uncertainty control, and behavior selection for the accomplishment of missions. The traditional security systems are limited in their intelligence and the view where they can observe. Contrary to the conventional, the security robot can provide effect and active security service with low-cost. The authors have implemented the proposed system in mobile robot and shown that the robot have performed its mission very well.

Ubiquitous Spot Service for Robotic Environment
Recently, ubiquitous computing is a hot topic. And, ubiquitous computing brings big benefit for robotics. Distributed computers provide much information to robots. And, distributed sensors help the navigation and manipulation of robots based on the sensor network. Moreover, to distribute the actuators at the environment, environment becomes one of the robots as we call “Ubiquitous Robot”, and p...
متن کاملDynamic Speech Interaction for Robotic Agents
Research in mobile service robotics aims on development of intuitive speech interfaces for human-robot interaction. We see a service robot as a part of an intelligent environment and want to step forward discussing a concept where a robot does not only offer its own features via natural speech interaction but also becomes a transactive agent featuring other services’ interfaces. The provided fr...
متن کاملTowards a Ubiquitous Robotic Companion: Design and Implementation of Ubiquitous Robotic Service Framework
ETRI Journal, Volume 27, Number 6, December 2005 In recent years, motivated by the emergence of ubiquitous computing technologies, a new class of networked robots, ubiquitous robots, has been introduced. The Ubiquitous Robotic Companion (URC) is our conceptual vision of ubiquitous service robots that provide users with the services they need, anytime and anywhere in ubiquitous computing environ...
متن کاملError Recovery by the Use of Sensory Feedback and Reference Measurements for Robotic Assembly
Industrial robots need instrument or parts transport to do which requires coordinate to show the robot’s instrument, parts and body. When investigating the robot location, we are usually interested in measuring its location relative to a reference coordinate system. In this system it is attempted to make the assemble direction smaller by designing the sensor board and making use of an instrumen...
متن کاملControl of a Robotic Wheel-Chair Prototype for People with Walking Disabilities
In this paper we present a system that could be used to help people with walking disabilities. A system consists of a prototype mobile robot platform equipped with a control board and a remote computer system, running with image processing algorithms, was used to develop a system for physically disabled human to move freely in an environment. We used a camera to get visual information by a huma...
